There is contact resistance when there is a gap between the single wires. Therefore, the conductor resistance of the stranded wire of the same cross-section of the solar cable is slightly larger than that of a single conductor; the current carrying capacity is not different. Large, but the heat dissipation of the stranded wire is better than that of a single conductor, so the current carrying capacity is slightly more than that of a single conductor.
